FOOD Share feeds over 73,000 hungry friends per month with the help of the generous community of Ventura County. The agriculture community, grocery stores and vendors, individuals and farms who donate backyard produce, corporations, individuals and our 150 partners are indispensable in our efforts. In FY 2009-2010, FOOD Share received 7.8 million pounds of food, including 5 million pounds of produce. Even though this was a 36% increase from the previous year, the need for food is greater than ever. Our goal is to increase the amount of food distributed to 9.5 million.  With the help of our food sourcing team, FOOD Share continues to expand our partnerships and community involvement to serve our hungry friends.
