Garden Share is a program based on the concept of Victory Gardens to supplement community food needs. Local gardeners, schools, churches, neighbors and commercial growers "grow a row" and share it with their hungry neighbors.
Do you already have a garden and want to start donating excess fruits and vegetables? It's easy! You can drop off your produce at our FOOD Share warehouse, or contact Meg Horton firstname.lastname@example.org to have our volunteer gleaners pick it for you.
Are you interested in starting a new garden? The Wall Street Journal recently sited a study by the nonprofit National Gardening Association that found that "the average family with a vegetable garden...grows an estimated $600 worth of vegetables." Grow all natural food for you and your family as well as for hungry neighbors.
