A four part series to prepare you for the spiritually of the High Holy Days. Join Rabbi Gershon Winkler at Temple Beth Torah and learn through texts the rites and intentions of the High Holy Days.Did you know that the feast before the fast on Yom Kippur is as essential to the celebration of the holyday as the fast itself? Did you know that there was one year in Jewish history when we forgot to celebrate Yom Kippur because we were too busy partying? Did you know that Yom Kippur was considered one of the most joyous festivals on the Hebrew calendar? Or that Rosh Hashannah appears nowhere in the Torah? Come and learn "the rest of the story".



This course will be held on 4 Tuesdays in September. September 8, 15,22, and the 29th at 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in out social hall. There is no charge for Temple Members but we ask that you bring a canned or packaged food for food share as a donation. Non-Members are asked to donate $18.00 to TBT on the first night.
